Bush Buddies Emergency Food Relief
Dear EFR Recipient,
Due to the consistency of free food from donor bodies, being reduced to a trickle and the need for Emergency Food Relief within the Southern Midlands Municipality has increased full fold MILE Inc. being the parent body of Bush Buddies must review its operation.
MILE Inc. has decided to purchase a limited amount of staples to supplement the donations given weekly; therefore, the rules for supply to recipients must also be reviewed.
As the need for EFR rises, limitations must be placed on those requiring the relief and therefore it has been decided by the executive committee of MILE Inc. that as from March 1st 2011 regular food drops can no longer be offered.
Residents requiring assistance or their agent (i.e. family member, social worker, or friend) must telephone the MILE office on 6254 1300 or via email to

before Tuesdays each week with details on family size, address and contact details to be eligible for a delivery.
Under no circumstance will contact be accepted with MILE staff members through their private contact details or on the street.
This only guarantees consideration and does not guarantee a food parcel will be delivered, as priority must be given to the families with small children and the elderly before individuals.
We at MILE Inc. hope this is only a short time measure and with further substantial funding Bush Buddies will be able to assist a greater number of Southern Midlands residents with EFR.
